Unit 8 Exam & Final Essay Questions

We took Unit 8 Mini-Exam.

  • This MUST be finished to take the Final exam...If you are not completed on exam day I will make you complete it and THEN take the exam, which would hold you for an extended time during that final session.  (You wouldn't miss any other finals...)

Final Essay Questions

  • IF you are completed with the final project which is due tomorrow, you may begin preparing for the final essays (only one will be picked for you to answer...but you must prepare for each of them JUST IN CASE): 

1.     Trace changes in American domestic policy from the 1930s to the present.   Answer the question in terms of TWO of the following groups:
a.      Women
b.     Minorities
c.      The Poor
2.     CONTRAST the two parts of the Cold War listed below:
a.      Beginning of the Cold War until the beginning of Détente (1945-1972)
b.     Détente to the end of the Cold War (1972-1989)
·        Address the GOALS of the United States during these two eras
·        Address the SUCCESSES/FAILURES of the United States during these two eras
3.     COMPARE the culture events of the 1930s to ONE of the following decades:
a.      1950s
b.     1960s
c.      1980s
