We briefly reviewed Learning A. On your sheet, do the following:
- Circle these Central Powers: Germany, Austria-Hungary, Ottoman Empire (modern day Turkey)
- Circle these Allied Powers: Great Britain, France, Italy, Russia, Serbia
- These are the ones you need to know for the exam (if your wrote down others, that is fine)
- Look at your map and make these notes at the bottom
- There is an Eastern Warfront that goes through Russia
- There is a Western Warfront that goes through France, Italy, and Greece
- Germany and Austria-Hungary are fighting on both fronts! That takes a lot of troops!
We then turned our attention to Learning B about trench warfare.
- Use your textbook to answer the questions on the worksheet
Lastly, we started Learning C, a timeline activity
- Print the brief timeline and get a detailed timeline from Ms. Kindl
- Use this presentation to fill in your brief timeline
- Use your textbook (pages 590-596) to fill-in details on your detailed timeline. List events in chronological order. OR find a classmate, and copy their notes.
