Hand out 2.1 Product (due Thurs)

2.2 Federal Reforms (12)

  • Differentiated between suffrage and suffering
  • Learning A: on your own piece of paper, create a "T" Chart
    • On the left hand side, watch this National History Day video about the women's suffrage movement & jot down every name, event and law that you can.  Pause & rewind to help.
    • With partners, we scanned pages 529-534 in the textbook & filled out the other side of the T chart with names, events & laws that were discussed
    • Comparison: Watched the video one more time, this time really focusing on the narrative of the video in comparison to the narrative of the text.
    • Remember, an author uses the following tools to present a narrative:
      • Content (or lack of particular content)
      • Descriptive Words
      • Pictures
      • Music (in videos only)
