7.1 C: The Cold War Gets Hot (20)

• Watched Korean War Presentation again
• Get a partner.  We went to the library.
• 1st Block:
• Use pages 835-841 (Chapt 25 sect 4) as a reference to create a 5 PANELED Cartoon
• Create cartoon using the following website
• https://www.funnytimes.com/playground/#.UoolccTigZ6
• Click on "Untitled" and type "7.1 Learning C" and your name in the place of "Anonymous"
• You'll have to RESIZE each panel to add panels.  Hover the mouse in between the slides and then drag it to make them smaller
• Press the button on the bottom right that has a blank box & the + symbol to add a slide (you need 5)
• Explore the tabs at the top to click and drag pictures down to each frame
• Drag the "bubbles" down to add text
• When finished or even if you want to see a preview, press "print".  
• If you are in the library you'll need to change the printer to a library printer. 

• 2nd Block & 3rd Block:
• Use pages 835-841 (Chapt 25 sect 4) as a reference to create a 6 PANELED Cartoon
• Create cartoon using the following website or the one 1st Block used:
• http://ragemaker.net/
• Explore the faces and characters on the side
• Make it a 6 paneled cComic
• Save/Load onto the desktop
• Open file on desktop and print to a Library Printer

• Watch & Take notes on the following video:
• Red Scare reviews
• Use a sky drive or your own piece of paper to take notes.  Pay special attention to the following: 
• Palmer Raids
• Joseph McCarthy
• HUAC
• Answer the following question:
• What do you think the major similarities and differences were between the 1st & 2nd Red Scares were?  Answer in a paragraph or so (aka 4-6 sentences)
